We are accepted. We are graced with grace. We are double graced. One of the biggest issues in our lives is who we allow to meet our needs for acceptance. Everybody has a need for approval and acceptance. God put that drive into us. He doesn’t want to take it out of us, but he wants to meet that need in us. He wants to fulfill us with his love so we stop looking for people to meet the need that only God can meet in our lives.

His love is unfailing, unquenchable, unconditional, his love wins the day in every heart that is open to receive. And by the constancy and consistency of his love, I begin to grow out of my fears, develop confidence and trust in him. God loves our worship, but it’s another level when we trust him. You can trust someone that you have confidence in.

If you battle insecurity, rejection and abandonment, please know that you don’t have to live like that forever. You don’t have to spend your life broken because someone left you—whether that’s a spouse or parent or someone else of significance. I say over you, in the name of Jesus, that you are accepted. The love and acceptance of Jesus Christ is powerful. If we let it, it can rule in our hearts and heal us from the pain.

Jesus heard these words at the outset of his ministry: “When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’” (Matthew 3:16-17) Every encounter you have with God can and will reaffirm his love and acceptance of you. God loves you as much on your worst day as he does on your best day.

You’re accepted, but it’s not based on your performance. He accepts you based on the actions and performance of Jesus Christ. He loves, accepts, blesses and reveals destiny to you because he is good and loving. He wants his love to create in us the security of acceptance, if we let it into our heart.
