For the first time in history, God has placed the desire to take cities for God in the hearts of tens of thousands of believers in the Body of Christ. There is a forceful and warring spirit in the Church today. It is not anger against men, but a holy anger against Satan’s dominion and destruction in the earth.

Jesus said, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Matthew 11:12) We are “taking by force” our cities for God in this decade. We are “taking by force” our families by fighting for them in prayer. Satan cannot have our loved ones, dear saint. He also cannot have our cities unless we simply lay down and surrender them to him. But we’re not dead! We are alive and filled with the power of God’s Spirit!

THE MOSES GENERATION

God sorrowfully watched the “Moses Generation” choose to give up their inheritance by not crossing over into their promised land. Unbelief and fear kept them from receiving God’s perfect will, and literally robbed them of their inheritance.

“So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, ‘If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!’” (Numbers 14:1, 2) They murmured and complained against Moses and the leaders. They murmured against God. The entire “Moses Generation” died in the wilderness. Many preachers have told us that “God killed them,” but that is not the truth. They destroyed themselves with their unbelief and fear.

The Lord spoke right after the entire nation (except the two spies, Joshua and Caleb) had raised their voices in unbelief to reject God’s will. “‘Say to them, “As I live,” says the Lord, “just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you.”’” (Numbers 14:28)

The Israelites own confession was that of death and destruction. God couldn’t make them do what they refused to do. Instead, they reaped the consequences of rejecting God’s Word.

A DIFFERENT SPIRIT

Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit than the rest of the children of Israel. They had a “conquering vision,” and they believed God’s Word. The Lord prophesied that there would arise a whole generation of Joshuas and Calebs — the Joshua Generation. He saw that through these believers and overcomers, the whole earth would be filled with His glory. “‘But as truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.’” (Numbers 14:21)

God is raising up a generation of champions: men and women whom He has filled with fire and desire to see revival come to their cities and nations. He is raising up a generation that will be like Caleb, a generation that has a “different spirit” in them and who follow Him fully. (Numbers 14:24)

God wants you to be a part of the Joshua Generation. He wants to give you a spirit of boldness and authority so that you will rise up and be a HERO in these last days for him.

Don’t let this cloud and fire pass you by! Surrender to God and He will make you a hero.
