A person that has no God-given vision for His life is a person that has a vision for failure. A lack of vision is, in fact, a vision of defeat and failure. Proverbs 29:18a says, “Where there is no vision the people perish.” (KJV) God doesn’t want you to perish, He wants you to flourish!
To succeed! To win in life! To overcome and accomplish great things with your life! And, to enable you to do so, He’s given you the power of Visions and Dreams. This is God’s formula for success and victory.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29: 11)
God’s thoughts toward you are of Peace. God has a future for you, a future of blessings, victory and success. He wants to share that future with you by giving your life vision. Your vision is, in reality, your destiny, your future. Habakkuk 2:2-3 says:
“Then the LORD answered me and said: ‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.’”
Vision not only controls our future, being the blueprint of God’s design for our life, but it also controls our present. The Vision we have for tomorrow determines how we will live today.
