Jesus is our high priest in heaven, He represents our interests before the Father, and it is my words that give him the material to work with. The way I establish covenant with Christ is by confession. “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9) “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus.” (Hebrews 3:1) Anytime I speak things that are in alignment with God’s word, and your life’s purpose, the high priest says, He takes it and works with it.
He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)
“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32)
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:10)
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12)
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. (Hebrews 4:14)
