Before you can minister a powerful, today word either to those around you or into your own life and circumstances, you must first receive it from God. You must first hear it before you can speak it and do it. Hearing God’s voice then becomes the key ingredient to knowing His will and releasing His power.
In Matthew 11:15 Jesus said:
”He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Many times as He was teaching about the Kingdom of God, Jesus made this statement alerting His disciples and the others that were there — DON’T MISS THE SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLE THAT I AM TEACHING YOU. The “hearing” that Jesus was speaking about was not of the physical ears and the physical sense of hearing. He was talking about our SPIRITUAL EARS and about SPIRITUAL HEARING. You can be physically deaf but still be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus also spoke of a common spiritual problem that He discovered in His generation that is still a common spiritual problem in our generation. Matthew 13:15 describes this condition:
“For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I shouldheal them.’”
