God has not forgotten the prayers you have prayed, the sacrifices you have made. Everything you’ve done. He has not overlooked you being the church in the world. He has not overlooked you being the church in the market place —it’s not just what you do in the church building. “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.” (Isaiah 29:15) If you did it he noticed it and he created a consequence in your future because of it. Sometimes stuff will show up in your world fifteen years later that is a result of what you did in the past. He doesn’t forget. He’s not unjust.

What you do matters. Praying. Believing. Sacrificing. “Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.” (Psalm 126:5-6)
