Jesus is the high priest and works with our words, instead of animals, as sacrifices. âTherefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.â (Hebrews 13:15) âA manâs stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.â (Proverbs 18:20) God canât bless something until you stop cursing it. When your confession is in alignment with Godâs word and Godâs will, the High Priest goes to work. When your words are in alignment with him the power flows.Â
Think about it: salvation comes through confession. It stands to reason that healing comes through confession. âAnd that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.â (Philippians 2:11) âWhoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.â (1 John 4:15) âIf you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.â (Romans 10:9) Restoration comes through confession. Living a deeply Christ-honoring life comes through what we say.
