Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you (Phil. 4:6-9).
We have gone over a lot of information in the last twenty plus days. Let us slow down for today and allow these verses to sink into your heart. To be a curse breaker, you will need a mind filled with the peace of God and the beauty of God. So think on these things listed in this passage. Peace is the bouncer of the mind. Bring every thought to Jesus and let His peace make the judgement on whether that thought belongs or not. Jesus died to heal mankind from all mental oppression. The moment we surrender to Jesus, His peace will guard our hearts and minds.
Reflect.
Choose one hour today and make a concentrated effort to filter the random, stray thoughts through the filter of Phil. 4:6-9. Are the thoughts true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, or praiseworthy? If not, they don’t belong. Take time during the hour to write down the thoughts you have and compare them with the verses above.
Prayer.
Ask the Holy Spirit to filter your thoughts as you set aside the one hour to exercise this process. Allow Him to fill your mind with His thoughts about God, Jesus, and yourself. Write down some thoughts He wants you to begin to think on regularly.
