He is with us

“And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God—my God—will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you…” (1 Chronicles 28:20)

What enabled David to say this?

God was enough for David. He’s enough for us. God’s will never leave us. If we have Jesus, we have everything. The meaning of life is found in Jesus. People that don’t have him, don’t have meaning. The reason we live is for him.

“And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” (John 17:3) 

Loneliness is a lie. When you feel alone he is with is you. When you go home to an empty house, he is with you. When you go home and your marriage is empty and you are alone there, he is with you. Jesus will walk right in with you. He will never leave you. He will never forsake you.
