It’s hard for those of us that have grown up being taught we can have a personal relationship with God to imagine this today, but prior to Christ, no one could have a one on one relationship with God. Even the priests, God’s hand picked men to tend to his presence were only allowed to go into he holy of holies once a year. But that changed when the veil was torn as Christ was crucified. Anybody can now come rushing into the throne room of God. Through Jesus, when we say his name, we are there, in the presence of God. The moment we worship, we are there. There is not a series of rituals, there’s not all of these natural efforts. Because of Jesus we have boldness: to talk, walk, fellowship, and worship God. It’s a new and living way.
