The early followers of Christ were called the Way, not Christians. It applies still today. We have found the way to all things that are meaningful and lasting. There are many highways, bi-ways, many roads, but only one of them leads us to eternal life, to God the Father, to Jesus Christ, to fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

When we find Jesus, we have found the Way. The Way to what?

HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO JOY

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:10-12)

When we accepted Christ, we received all the joy of Christ. Worship allows us to release that joy. The Bible tells us over and over again to rejoice in the Lord always. When we celebrate, we reboot the joy we have been given and replenish the well of joy within out spirits.  I think in the 1980’s, I had one day that nothing wrong happened: everything went right. One day. That was it. From then on, things have been messy. Things happen. If we wait for things to be perfect in order to be happy, we have wasted a lifetime allowing people and circumstance to steal the power of our joy instead of allowing Jesus to fill us with his joy.
